RETURNS - RETURN & REFUND POLICY

All products are made by hand by myself in my home studio, with love, craft & care. Any minor imperfections are all part of the handmade nature. Please read the item listing carefully including the item size. Due to monitor differences colours may appear different on different screens. I have done my best to accurately reflect the colours, but if you are unsure please get in touch before ordering. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, I offer a 14 day return policy at your own cost. Please contact me to initiate a return. Returns are at your own cost and refunds will only be issued once the item is received by us in the same condition as it was sent. We will exchange or offer a refund.

Please contact me on receipt of your product if you believe there is any damage to the product, providing images and description of the damage. If there is a noticeable fault with your order I will do my best to either mend or replace your item.

Commissions are non- refundable unless there is a defect with the product.

Please contact me at beth.osment@btinternet.com for return issues.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR QUILT OR TEXTILE

Your quilt may be a little creased when it arrives. Lightly pressing your item with an iron will help to smooth out creases.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:

Wash only if required. Quilts & cushion covers are washable at 30 degrees on a gently cycle with mild detergent. I recommend using a colour catcher in the wash. Line dry or dry flat. Fabric will crinkle slightly after the first wash and will soften with use. Gentle iron if required.

Gently remove dust from wall hangings & pictures with a lint roller if required, or spot clean, rather than machine wash.

WEAR & REPAIR:

My quilts are made to be used and loved. They’ll get that textured crinkle after washing and then relax a bit, softening with use and love over time. Colours may fade slightly, especially if exposed to direct sunlight. With proper care your quilt should last for many years to come. However, quilts are made to be used and fabric is by no means indestructible. I believe quilts & textiles should be repaired where possible and passed on through generations. Should you require a repair, please contact me with a description & we can discuss possible repair options.

SUSTAINABILITY

I am very aware that there is too much excess and waste in the world and want to make sure my products are not harmful to the environment. I work with all natural materials which are biodegradable. As a more sustainable & textured fabric, linen is my preferred fabric choice for many products, creating pieces that are both beautiful and kinder to our planet. I also use cotton and linen/cotton blends where appropriate and use 100% cotton, bamboo or wool batting and 100% cotton thread. My products are one of a kind pieces made to last, but can be repaired if needed. I aim to make textiles that tread lightly by making the best use of the fabric, using offcuts & deadstock fabric as well as upcycling fabric such as clothing. I use my fabric offcuts to create textile art and smaller pieces to work towards eliminating waste.

I use recycled Kraft paper packaging and ship products in re-used packaging where possible. My cards are made on Kraft card made from 100% recycled, post consumer waste, or Eco Fleck card which is FSC certified and use materials which have been ethically sourced from well-managed and sustainable forests (5% hemp fibres, 40% recycled material and 55% environmentally friendly fibres). Cards come with 100% recycled Kraft envelopes.

Sustainability is a journey and I am continually looking to make my sewing practice and business as sustainable as possible.
